Note: This post does reference spoilers that were revealed in previous episodes. Along with the general episode recap, which contains minor spoilers throughout, 1 new minor,  & 1 new Major spoiler are shared.  Spoiler warnings are given before each reveal.

Ep 3: Just Trust Me

The man from the car is Tommy Gabriel, (Julian Black Antelope) an old adversary of Hearn & Slaneys. He claims they owe him money, lots of it, & he's come to collect! Slaney takes advantage of an unforseen 'distraction' & snatches a henchmans weapon. Taking Tommy hostage, the two men make a getaway, with Agent Williams in pursuit.
She follows them to a warehouse where she witnesses their heated exchange & its ultimate outcome.

Williams tells Patterson what she's learned & the two go to have 'a little chat' with Lefevre.

Meanwhile, down in Mexico, a drunk/high Carter saunters over to join Hearn & Hugo (Chris Young). The men discuss their new deal/suppliers & Carter makes a seemingly pleasant remark (aka a lightly veiled threat) regarding Hugos family! After Hugo leaves, Hearn tells Carter to keep Ada in line & to keep his own mouth shut!

KC meets with her boss & fills him in on the situation.
Patterson meets with his bosson & it doesn't go well!
They all regroup to discuss the case & ultimately further their plans.

Meanwhile Slaney is spotted in a diner & the police move in.

☆ Minor Spoiler Ahead☆

To protect the innocents inside. Slaney surrenders & is handcuffed.
However, he has his new, fake, ID on him and is immediately released as 'the wrong guy'

Hearn & Lefevre have an interesting phone call ( too many spoilers so I'll leave it at that)

Slaney finally arrives at Hearns compound in Mexico. There's a big party going on which Slaney crashes...literally !! Hearn appears very happy to see him.

Agent Williams & Det Patterson embark on their undercover operation.

Flashback
1972 off the coast of Newfoundland
Hearn & Slaney on a boat at sea. Foggy, with icebergs in area. They're low on gas.....

Back at the compound Hearn begins an impassioned speech about that fateful trip & what's happened since.....
We flash back & forward between the two time lines during this speech.

Ada introduces herself to Slaney as Carter watches from afar.

Slaney is shocked to see a couple of unexpected guests at the party.

☆☆SPOILER AHEAD☆☆

Patterson (aka Brophy) & Williams are at the compound, undercover. Slaney manages to get Patterson to one side & the detective fills him in on the new developments.

Hearn & Ada have a little chat about Slaney ( spoilers...so again,  I'll just leave it at that)

Patterson confesses his part in Slaneys escape to Agent Williams, who is less than pleased at this revelation!

High & drunk, a 'careless' Carter lets Hearn know how unhappy he is with his welcoming of Slaney back into the fold. Hearn starts to update the man on his plans, but when Carter asks him if he's going to take Ada away from him, Hearn loses it, slaps him & demands that Cyril  'get your shit together......'
Carter looks panicked & scared. The coke fueled paranoia has a strong grip on him.

Hearn fills Slaney in on the next stage of the plan.

At Hearns request, Carter makes drinks, for he & Brophy, but something about that request seems 'off'......

Carter tries to bait Slaney, but fails. He then calls Ada out on her recent behaviour but she soon wins him over & placates him.

As Ada plays the piano, Brophy ( aka Patterson) begins to hallucinate & collapses.....

Unconcerned with this development, Hearn leads Slaney away from the room.

I'm a big fan of Gregs ability to convey so muchwithout uttering a single word & there are multiple instances of that incredible expressiveness throughout this show.  I recommend you pay close attention to them all. However, his DWAL (Do With A Look) game is absolute perfection during this particular episode.
